Firm owners and managers manage their firm’s operators from Admin → Staff in the Tradara terminal. That list is owners and staff invited to the firm. It is not Tradara’s internal team. Tradara’s RBAC model has four layers:
  1. Permissions — atomic capabilities (e.g. accounts:write, orders:cancel_any).
  2. Roles — named bundles of permissions. Some are built in (e.g. owner_admin, risk_manager); you can create custom roles.
  3. Staff — operators who belong to your firm and hold one or more roles.
  4. Overrides — per-staff grants or revokes that adjust a staff member’s effective permissions without changing their roles.

In the terminal

  1. Open Staff.
  2. Invite someone with a starting role.
  3. Open their row to change roles, grant extra permissions, or suspend access.
Traders stay on Users. Staff invitations and granular permissions live on Staff.

Endpoints

Effective permissions

For any staff member:
Overrides win over roles. Use them sparingly. Prefer creating a custom role when you find yourself applying the same override to many staff.
